Well, here we are already nearing the end of 2015!

It’s been quite a year for Thackeray’s. Some brilliant changes, and some welcome continuity.

ShaneBack in the spring we re-launched our outside terrace after giving it a much-needed facelift. Friends, family and VIP guests joined us for an evening of cocktails, canapés and live jazz from the ever-popular Cool Jazz Trio.

It was a fantastic start to the summer. The terrace (along with regular appearances from the Cool Jazz Trio) turned out to be a huge hit, adding an extra dimension to our offering that we’re looking forward to building on in the new year.

After just over a year with us at Thackeray’s, Head Chef Shane Hughes successfully retained our Michelin star with his own brand of modern world cooking rooted in classical foundations. He’s hit the ground running and we’re expecting great things from him in 2016 as he strengthens and builds on our reputation.

Various fantastic events have peppered the year – from Art De Cuisine evenings, wine-tasting events and tasting menus all attracting a lot of attention. For all this we have Director Gary Beach to thank. We’re sure he’ll already be cooking up some creative ideas for events from January onwards!

garyIn April we also launched a Thackeray’s Gift Voucher offering. Customers can choose online between a simple cocktail voucher, to a full tasting menu with accompanying wine. A great idea for a Christmas present if we do say so ourselves!
