This weekend brings yet another massive event, Bonfire night!

It’s time to throw on the thermal underwear and layer up on jumpers and scarfs to witness the fiery spectacles scattered all over Kent. Before I give you some heads up on the events in your area i’m just going to run through a few tips for Bonfire Night in Kent!

  • Don’t forget gloves for two very important reasons; the cold and any sparkler shenanigans (they get very very hot!).
  • Anything explosive or flammable, you guessed it keep a safe distance! use a long taper if your lighting your own fireworks!
  • Next, alcohol. Forgive the language, but this rule sums this up very well “no getting pissed till after the final psst”. Even if you are at a display, things can still go wrong, so make sure you are alert and ready to spring into action if you need to.

Finally don’t forget your pets! Animals tend not to enjoy fireworks as much as we do so if your going out, you might be able to make arrangements with friends or family to look after them or contact your vet for advice.
Now for the fun part, where to go? These are just some of the displays and events going on in Kent this week.
