It may still be January, but spring is coming early this year and there’s plenty for us to shout about at The Windmill.

Firstly, it’s Valentine’s Day in just over two weeks. On the 13th and 14th of February we have a very special four course menu prepared. It’s £58pp, and includes a complementary glass of fizz on arrival. The fire will be crackling, and the ambiance will be cosy.

Next, Mothering Sunday is just around the corner. On March 6th we’ll be offering a hearty three-course lunch for just £29.50pp. Treat your mum to a warming pub lunch after a long walk in the country!

Soon after that, the Easter weekend is here on the 27th of March. Around then, we plan to get BBQing! You’ll be aware that we put a lot of work into our beer garden last year adding a big outside kitchen and some new decking. This year, we’re adding a pergola to the mix and will aim to be cooking outside as many weekends as we possibly can.

On top of that, our regular offers will still be running. Steak night on a Tuesday, £5 fish and chip night on a Thursday, and our great value Express Lunches Monday to Saturday.

Alister Lewis – Apprentice Chef

Alistair started in The Windmill at the beginning of December, in his first kitchen job. He’s had a flying start thanks to his great attitude, upbeat personality and strong work ethic. He’s really thrown himself in at the deep end, and has done especially well considering how busy the period was.
